SIVG series HV lightning test system can be used to perform lightning direct effect test according to SAE-ARP-5416A, RTCA-DO-160G (Section 23) and Mil-Std-464 on the aircraft structural.
a) Initial Leader Attachment Test
b) High Voltage Strike Attachment Test on Models.
The HV impulse voltage generator is designed for indoor operation.
This electrostatic discharge generator is a specialized generator designed to simulate whether an aircraft or transmitter system can operate safely, reliably, or be damaged after being subjected to very high static electricity in high-speed flight in the sky.
It has a discharge voltage of up to 300kV, in compliance with standards such as MIL-STD-464C, MIL-STD-331D, GJB1389A, GJB573A, etc.
This system is mainly used for conducting nuclear electromagnetic pulse sensitivity tests on electronic systems.
It can apply a maximum pulse electric field of 50kV/m to the test object to test its reliability in a strong pulse electric field environment.
The aircraft is easy to be attacked by the direct lightning when it flies in the convective environment, which will generate high temperature, high pressure and strong electromagnetic force. This will cause some bad affection to the aircraft, such as burn, explosion, structural aberration, etc.
High Current Physical Damage Testing System for Lightning Direct Effects (model SXFJ-180612) is developed by our company and can simulate the direct lightning stroke with component A,B,C,D waveforms. It includes four sets impulse current test systems.
Impulse voltage test system (Impulse Voltage Generator, HV generator, Marx generator) can be used to
generate impulse voltages simulating lightning impulse (1.2±30%/50±20%μs) and
wave D (T1:50~250±10%/T2:2000 μs) for lightning direct effects on aircrafts.
